Music can assist a worshiping heart but it cannot create a worshiping heart

-Sheryl Brady-

Everyone can sing God’s praises, even an unbeliever. “Look at how majestic those mountains are, God is great.” Unaware, this is praise to our God.
Worship however takes more than words spoken as praise to God. Worship takes a surrendered heart to the Lord. (The owner and master of your life) It takes a heart that daily puts itself on the alter and burns to bring glory to God in all it does. Constantly being in the fire (Holy Spirit) to be refined and made more like Christ.
Being at a worship gathering is an experience like no other, in such an atmosphere so much takes place, there’s healing, breakthrough, restoration and revelation that breaks forth. However the question is, what does life look like after these amazing Spirit filled moments? I would like to believe the same way as one would drink water and maintain a good healthy diet after spending a few hours at gym and having an amazing workout, we too should work out our worship beyond the four walls of our gatherings.
Our diet being the Word, prayer, fasting and keeping around us those who keep the fire burning. Our gym partners 😉

Let’s study 2 Chronicles 29

V5. He said to them, “Listen to me, you Levites! Purify yourselves, and purify the Temple of the LORD, the God of your ancestors. Remove all the defiled things from the sanctuary.

This whole chapter speaks of God restoring the temple!!!!! Using LEVITES! (WORSHIP LEADER TRIBE)

In the begining it explains why the temple was in ruins, because their anccestors turned off the lamps (Word) and stopped burning incense (prayer) this is why the temple was in ruins. But Levites went to the temple to CLEAN IT UP! CLEANED THEMSELVES UP AND CLEANED UP THE HOLY TEMPLE OF OUR GOD!!!

V11. My sons, do not neglect your duties any longer! The LORD has chosen you to stand in his presence, to minister to him, and to lead the people in worship and present offerings to him.

V15. These men called together their fellow Levites, and they all purified themselves. Then they began to cleanse the Temple of the LORD, just as the king had commanded. They were careful to follow all the LORD’s instructions in their work.

They called their fellow Levites!!!

In verse 21 After speaking to the people, the King called the singers to walk ahead of the army!!!!🙆🏾 As the levites did so, their enemies started fighting amongst themselves! This shows the power of praise and worship! Whatever you consider an enemy is your life, whatever tries to rise agaisnt the Lordship of Christ, whether it’s poverty, sin, sickness, lack. It scatters in worship through the power of the Holy Spirit. But the worship does not begin with the singing, it starts with restoring the order of the temple (you, you are the temple) puting the lamps (Word) back on. Burning the incense of prayer and pursuing Intimacy with God.

May the Holy Spirit help us to live out our worship beyond the four walls of the Sunday morning praise and worship set list. Let’s keep it going guys. Keep it flowing. LIKE THE WADDEERRRR lol
